DIRECTOR (PLANNING, RESEARCH AND STATISTICS DEPARTMENT)
Mallam. Hassan Sallau, indigene of Yargoje, Kankara Local Government Area, Katsina State was born on December 20, 1964 in Jos ,Jos North, Plateau State. He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1976/77 from Islamiyya Primary School, Bauchi Road, Jos and his Teacher Grade II Certificate from UPE Teacher’s College, Zaria in 1981. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1989), and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Jos (1997). He joined the Federal Civil Service on October 12, 1990, as a Planning Officer II in the then Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources. He rose through the ranks and became Director (Administration) on January 1, 2018.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mallam Sallau worked across several Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), including the Federal Ministries of Health, Finance (Budget Office of the Federation), Petroleum, Defence, Labour, Marine and Blue Economy, Works and Housing, the State House, the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), and the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs. He has also served on the boards of ASCON, Badagry, and the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, Warri-Delta State.
Mallam. Sallau is married with two wives and five children.
