Auwalu A. Koko at the 23rd meeting of the National Council on Works

Welcome address by the director, Planning, Research & Statistics (Works and Housing Sectors), Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing, At NAF conference center, Abuja on Monday 17th July 2017.

PROTOCOL

It is with great pleasure and gratitude to Almighty God that I welcome you all to this memorable event, the 23rd Meeting of the National Council on Works with the theme: Adequate Road Signage – An Essential Key for Highways Infrastructure and Comfort holding from today, Monday 17th to Thursday 20th  July, 2017.

2.    I wish to express our profound gratitude to the Honourable Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, the Honourable Minister of State for Power, Works and Housing, Honourable Mustapha Baba Shehuri, the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Mohammed Bukar, the Directors and entire staff of the Ministry for their support in organizing this meeting.

3.    As you are aware, the Meeting of the National Council on Works is an annual event where stakeholders in the Road Sector deliberate on issues concerning the Sector. 

4.    May I on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing apologise to you for whatever inconvenience caused by the change of venue of this meeting from Minna, Niger State to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. It was due to reasons beyond our control.  I Hope that you will find your stay in Abuja worthwhile and pleasant.

5.    At this juncture, I would like to assure you that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the success of this year’s Council Meeting.  The Secretariat is available for any possible assistance.
